Hype gives it's users new and fun ways to communicate, either in pairs or in group, as users can choose from a variety of voice and image filters to apply on their communications. Users can video call anyone with an "auto-tuned" voice while wearing crazy hats if they want, just by selecting the proper voice and video filters. The same applies for photos, videos and push-to-talk messages. Communications can be done even offline, through our proximity framework. Good not only in places where communications are low or nonexistent, like conferences, concerts and in highly populated places like universities and big metropoles. It allows people to see exactly who's in close range and to exchange contacts with a single swipe, so is much better than asking for people to type their contacts in. It also makes the contact list smarter, giving contextual background to every contact such as personal and professional information, place and time they met, or common friends and connections.
